ROSWELL, Ga. (MyFOX ATLANTA) - Roswell police said a cell phone may have saved a clerk during an attempted robbery at a liquor store Monday.
Investigators said a person brandishing a knife went into the Beverage mart on Holcomb Bridge Road Monday evening and attempted to rob the clerk.
The person tried to stab the clerk with a knife. The clerk survived the attack because his cell phone blocked the knife.
The clerk grabbed his gun and shot the person in the leg as he was trying to flee.
The suspect was taken to North Fulton Hospital for treatment.
