Car Wreck Kills Teen, 2 Others Injured

A Buford teenager is dead following a car wreck overnight in Gwinnett County.

Two other teens have been taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The deceased has been identified as 18-year-old Triston Sadler of Buford. The passengers have been identified as 17-year-old Vernon Thomas and 17-year-old Ashtyn Roper, both from Buford.

Investigators said Sadler lost control of a burgundy Volvo on South Bogan Road in Gwinnett County.

The Volvo was traveling at high rate of speed, came up on a sharp curve and at the same time also hit a pothole and flipped the car, said investigators.

With the car now on the shoulder, police say things turned even more dangerous.

The car finally came to a rest against a guard rail.

Sadler was ejected. According to investigators nothing could be done to save Sadler.

The investigation into the crash continues including efforts to determine just how fast the car was going.
