An Atlanta cab driver said he was robbed at knife point and DeKalb County police said Thursday they were trying to determine if his case was connected to the recent attacks on women in the Briarcliff Road area.
Police said Tuesday that, Marques Anthony Jackson and Jordan Anthony Gibson, the two men arrested over the weekend for a series of armed robberies in the Briarcliff Road area may be connected to more crimes.
DeKalb County police said as part of their on-going investigation they are trying to determine if Jackson or Gibson may be linked to three recent attacks against women in the Briarcliff Road area.
On March 17, a masked man grabbed a jogger and stabbed her repeatedly. On April 7, a woman was sexually assaulted as she moved into her apartment at the Marquis on Briarcliff at Gables Way.
On April 11, police said a man forced his way into a woman's apartment at The Park at Briarcliff and robbed her.
Both Gibson and Jackson are being looked at for possible connections to the robbery of a pizza delivery man and a taxi driver.
For now, the two men are charged with robbing six women at gunpoint March 29 on Gables Way.
