Body Found in Gwinnett County

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. - Gwinnet County authorities are investigating a partially decomposed body found just off Woodward Mill Road near the city of Buford.

Corporal David Schiralli said the body was found Wednesday night after residents in the area complained of a strange smell.

A resident living in the area went out and discovered the body around 9 p.m.

The body was found wrapped in an unknown material. The man who found the body said the victim was wrapped in a plastic garbage bag.

Schiralli said it was to early in the investigation to say how the person may have died or what gender the person may have been.

Schiralli said the body appears to have been at the location for about a week.
