Body of CDC Worker Found in Haiti

ATLANTA -- The body of a missing CDC worker has been found in Haiti.

Diane Caves -- 31-years-old -- had just arrived in Port-Au-Prince for a three-week temporary assignment when the massive earthquake struck on January 12th.

She was staying at the Hotel Montana which collapsed.

Caves' husband -- Jeff -- issued this statement: "We are all grateful for the extensive outpouring of prayers, phone calls, e-mails and cards of support and encouragement." He went on to say "Diane made a difference in the world and will be missed by all who knew her."

Caves started working with the CDC in April 2007 in the Office of Public Health Preparedness and Response, said teh CDC.
