FULTON COUNTY, Ga. (MyFOX ATLANTA) - A full-grown alligator was discovered lurking in the waters of the Chattahoochee River near a Fulton County park Thursday.

Visitors to Powers Ferry Landing, near Sandy Springs spotted the alligator.

The park ranger confirmed the alligator sighting.

Park officials warned people to keep their distance if they come across the alligator.
