ATLANTA - Atlanta police are investigating the execution-style slaying of two women found dead in their apartment.
Police identified the victims as 28-year-old Lanaetria Renee Butler and 34-year-old Karida Winkler.
College Park Police spokesman Sgt. Eddie Atkins said Butler and her roommate, Winkler, were each found shot once in the head. A third roommate discovered the bodies when she returned home from work before 10 a.m.
Atkins said authorities had not determined a motive and there was no sign of forced entry.
He added that Butler was the mother of five children — two of which are in the custody of her mother in Jacksonville, Fla.
