Topic #1: Entertainment

Art Strolls: 
-Castleberry Hill Art Stroll :: Castleberry Hill is a historic warehouse/loft/gallery district downtown that is set on train tracks and is easily walkable, like a mini-SoHo of Atlanta.  The 4th Friday every month, businesses and galleries open their doors for an art stroll through indie-show rooms and loft spaces.  Its free.  Great Fri dating alternative. 
 
-Buckhead Art Stroll :: 15 different Buckhead galleries open their doors from 6-9pm (with refreshments provided) on the first Thursday of the month for the newly launched Buckhead Art Walk. Though note, not all galleries are next to eachother and you need to take a car to see all of them.
 
-Turner First Thursdays Downtown Art Walk :: The first Thursday every month the Downtown galleries open their doors from 5-8pm for a free, self-guided tour. There is no starting or ending point, but we suggest starting at Museum of Design Atlanta (by Suntrust Plaza) and following the map south to Georgia State's School of Art & Design Gallery.

-Swimming at Chastain Park :: Family time, fo free. Take the kids to the Chastain Park Pool on weekdays from 10am-12:30pm for a few hours of free swimming. Want to stay the rest of the day? Cost is only $2 child / $4 for adult. Those living in Midtown, the cost is the same for the new Piedmont Park aquatic center. 
 
-Flicks on 5th :: Every Wednesday night at 9pm in June and July, Technology Square shows free outdoor movies. Lawn chairs are provided, popcorn is free, and surrounding restaurants (Water Haven, Tin Drum) do to-go dinner specials.
 
-Dive In Movies at the W Perimeter :: Every Tuesday night at 8pm, the W Perimeter screens popular flicks (Tropic Thunder, Ferris Bueller's Day Off) outside by their pool. Anyone is welcome and admission is free, but you might want to bring some cash for a cocktail.
 
-$1 Braves tickets :: 3 hours before every home game, the Box Office at Turner Field releases 186 Sky Line tickets for $1. Get there early and get rewarded for (practically) free baseball. 
 
-Kids Bowl for Free :: AMF Snellville, AMF Marietta and Suburban Lanes in Decatur all participate in the www.kidsbowlfree.com summer program. Enroll online and coupons will be sent weekly to your email, print the coupons and bring them with you to the lanes. 2 game limit per day, must be 15 and under. Bowling shoes aren't included. Offer ends on Aug 31st.  
 
-Free Beltline bus tours ::  Every Friday and Saturday morning, the BeltLine does free bus tours of the potential concept. Learn about the history, project planning, development and route. You have to sign up online (July is already full) and the tour starts at the Inman Park Marta Station at 9:30am. 
 
-MLK visit :: This National Historic Site does year round tours of Dr. Kings' birth home, Ebenezer Baptist Church, the Civil Rights Walk of Fame and the visiting center's civil rights memorabilia.

Topic #2: Food

-Free steak sandwiches at Morton's Downtown:: Every night from 5-7pm, if you hit the bar at Morton's Downtown location, (granted you need to order a drink) a platter of steak sandwiches will appear.  Free of charge.  Those wanting to keep it cheap--we suggest getting a beer, cocktails can be quite expensive.
 
-Free sandwich at Chick-Fil-A :: At some participating Chick Fil A's (we suggest calling before coming) if you bring in your church bulletin from the previous Sunday, you will be handsomely rewarded with a free Chick Fil A chicken sandwich. 
 
-Free coffee with book swap at Danneman's :: Bring in a gently used book to help build Danneman's library selection and walk out with a free cup of coffee. Help a good cause, get your morning fix all in one.  
 
-Free sushi on Wed nights at Steel :: From 5-7pm each Wednesday night, hit Steel in Midtown (there is free parking in the garage behind the building) straddle up to the bar and order a drink and enjoy an assortment of complimentary sushi.
 
-$2 Tuesdays at Tin Lizzy's Grant Park, featuring a special $2 menu, 80s music, and more.
