When you need to know the weekend forecast, Joanne Feldman is the meteorologist to depend on. From hurricanes to tornadoes to ice storms, Joanne has seen it all in her nearly decade long career. As a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (read the press release) , she has earned the highest designation offered by the American Meteorological Society and is right at home watching the skies on FOX 5 NEWS WEEKEND at 6pm and 10pm.

Joanne grew up in Marietta and is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Geography. She did her graduate studies in Meteorology at Penn State on scholarship from the American Meteorological Society.

Joanne’s career in weather began in Fresno, California where she forecasted everything from desert heat to valley fog to Sierra snowstorms. Joanne then headed South to Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina where she was the meteorologist for the evening news.

In her free time, Joanne stays on her toes, literally! She enjoys ice skating, ballet and jogging. Joanne and her husband Chris are the proud parents of two children.
